Projex Solutions is a multi-discipline engineering business working across UK process manufacturing. We take projects from first idea through to a plant that runs, and we do it under one accountable team rather than handing you between separate consultants.

Project management and execution
Structured project management for capital and improvement projects on operating plant, delivered under our ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management System. This is the discipline that keeps a project honest: a defined scope, a plan people can work to, and change controlled rather than absorbed.

Engineering design
Process, mechanical and EC&I design coordinated in-house. Splitting these across separate suppliers is where most interface problems start, and they tend to surface on site, when they are expensive.
Process engineering: process design basis and calculations, PFDs, P&IDs, process safety and optimisation, control philosophies, and pressure relief.
Mechanical engineering: construction drawings and installation concepts, layouts for site, pipework and equipment, 3D scanning and 3D modelling, isometrics and line and valve lists, zoning drawings, as-built drawings, and concept design.
EC&I engineering: cable routing, sizing and power calculations, lighting layouts, LV power distribution, instrument block cabling and loop sheets, specifications, control panel and motor control specifications, and CompEx design.

Engineering consultancy
Front-end work that tells you whether a project is worth doing, what it will cost, and what it will take. Capital committed on thin definition is the most expensive mistake available on a process plant, and it is almost always avoidable.

Process safety and plant operation
Hazard studies, compliance assessments and the engineering that follows from them. Done properly these are design tools, not paperwork, and the sites that treat them that way are the ones that do not get caught out by a change nobody reassessed.

Site and construction management
The stage where a design pack becomes a working plant, usually on a site that has to keep producing while the work goes on. We take CDM duty holder roles, manage construction, and see equipment through commissioning and acceptance.

Construction services
Civil, structural and architectural design for manufacturing facilities. On a process site the building is not a container the plant happens to sit in; get the two out of step and the building constrains what you can produce in it.
Civil and structural: project initiation, conceptual design, detailed design, permitting and approvals, procurement and contracting, construction oversight, industrial buildings, and environmental and regulatory compliance.

Our turnkey offering
Clients come to us for a single study as often as for a whole scheme, and both are fine. Where it makes sense we act as EPCM partner, taking engineering, procurement and construction management under one accountable team so that the interfaces are ours to manage rather than yours. We deliver projects up to around £20 million in value, and we are equally prepared to take on one-off, small-scale or awkward pieces of work that others have turned down.
